  The location was close enough to downtown yet, far away enough that we were away from the hustle and bustle of the weekend.
As for the house itself, street parking... read more was very convenient.
Our only two issues were that the house was not clean enough. There was visible dirt, hair, etc. We had to sweep floors, clean the shower/tub (it was filthy) and wipe down every touchable surface (the dirt was visible on the light switches, etc.). Considering COVID-19 we were expecting a clean house. We were only staying one night and we just went to Walgreens to grab cleaning supplies and used the broom there to get it to where we were comfortable for the night. There were three women (all who expect a clean home), so we didn’t sleep well honestly. The house is nice though.
The second concern is that there is a basement which was unkempt with dirty clothes, household and random items and creepy but there was no door to the downstairs area (there should be a door to keep guests from down there). We didn’t spend much time at the house, so again it wasn’t horrible. If the house was thoroughly cleaned and there was a door where the stairs go down to the basement, I would stay again. Also, some of the windows on the first floor were unlocked (thankfully we are obsessive about our safety and we checked). It’s Detroit, windows should be locked.

  Our stay was amazing! Beautiful home and quiet peaceful neighborhood. Perfect for my birthday staycation. Will definitely be back!

  It’s Always A Pleasure staying at J&M locations. Beautiful well equipped home.

  Host was accommodating and resolved issues we had with cleaning and broken sinks. We couldn’t figure out how to get AC upstairs in the bedrooms.

Our stay was very comfortable as the furniture was all very comfy, to include the living room sofas and all the beds. We felt pretty safe, despite the dilapidated house next door with the door that barked all night long. We felt a bit deceived as all reviews and the host's description described the area as quiet, but that was not our experience. Our only other complaints are the lack of storage in the bedrooms (nowhere to unpack your suitcase), and the overall cleanliness of the home - both of which are easily fixable by J&M, so hopefully your experience will be better in those areas, should you choose this home for your stay.
